Ethan's Visit With Chiplet!

Ethan took Chiplet home and had a great time with him! He played card games and even introduced him to the pet cat. I'm not sure who won the staring competition!

  1. It sure looks like Chiplet is having fun at your house! What is the name of the card game you are playing?

  2. Hello,

Is that a Himalayan cat? Because I have a Himalayan cat just like that!

  3. HI Room 14!
We have a question that we didn't get to ask during the Skype last week. You mentioned that you had morning tea before speaking to us. We also have a recess and snack break each morning. We were wondering if you actually drink tea in school or is that just what you call your snack break? Do you bring food from home to eat or do you buy it at school? We each bring in a snack from home to eat during morning recess.

    1. We have morning tea which is brought from home, usually just a snack. It is a British tradition which was started in the 18th century by an older lady of the manor who was hungry between breakfast and dinner (they only ate 2 meals a day at that stage). Because we are a British colony in New Zealand, we have a strong link to the heritage of our British immigrants so we follow this tradition and lots of adults (including the teachers!) do actually drink a cup of tea at this time!
